Warrior Career Pathways (WcP)

Warrior Career Pathways      Warrior Career Pathways (formerly Bridges Career Academies) provide unique opportunities for students to explore a career pathway while earning industry-recognized credentials to prepare them for their future. Completing a pathway demonstrates experience and skill in a focus area of choice. This is advantageous for students entering the workforce or proceeding to college. Students may take any course, even if they do not intend to complete the pathway. Component requirements of the pathways will gradually be added, with full implementation in the 2025-26 school year.

Requirements for successful completion include the following:
  • Completion of classes in the desired concentrations below.
  • Completion of the ASVAB or equivalent career interest and aptitude inventory.
  • Career exploration experiences including job shadow, business tour, classroom speaker, internship, etc. (Class of 2024: 5 hours required. Class of 2025: 10 hours required. Class of 2026: 15 hours required. Class of 2027: 20 hours required).

Additional elements that will be required after the 2023-2024 school year include the following:

  • Digital career portfolio.
  • Industry-recognized credential.
  • Minimum of one Advanced Placement (AP), College in the Schools (CIS), Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO), or Advanced Standing Articulated Credit (ASC) course.
