Auditions for the One Act Play: Come audition for the drama "100 Things I Never Said to You"! See Ms. J in A-111 for an audition packet. Auditions will be Monday, December 4 at 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday, December 5 at 3:30 p.m. in the Studio Stage! Hope to see you there!

Spanish Club is meeting on Tuesday, December 5 at 7:45 am in room A205.  We will be planning our fun, cultural activity for December!  Everyone is welcome ;)

Speech Contest: The American Legion is hosting its Oratorical Contest “A Constitutional Speech Contest”. The local “Prepared Oratorical” portion of this contest will be taking place on December 20th here at the Brainerd High School. For this contest you would need to prepare an original speech regarding the Constitution of the United States with emphasis on the duties and obligations of a citizen to our government. C-Ball Tickets: Tickets are now on sale for the December 16 event.  Please read through all of the information on this sheet before purchasing tickets.

Juniors:  We are now accepting applications for the ExCEL Award.  The ExCEL Award – Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership – is a unique recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, leaders in their schools, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service. This award is sponsored by the League's corporate partner Wells Fargo. To be eligible for the award, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a junior in high school

2. Make satisfactory progress toward graduation

3. Participate in an MSHSL fine arts and/or athletic activity

4. Hold a leadership position(s) in their school

5. Volunteer in their community

6. Meet MSHSL General Eligibility Requirements (Bylaw 206)

Seniors: We are now accepting nominations for the prestigious Triple A Award. To be eligible for the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award a student must:

• be a high school senior at the time of nomination. Schools may nominate one senior boy and one senior girl for this award.

• have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of nomination.

• participate in at least one League-sponsored athletic program and one League-sponsored arts/activity program.

• comply with the MSHSL's Student Code of Conduct

• complete the application form and submit it to the administrative region secretary by the deadline date specified by the region committee.

Additional information about the Triple 'A' Award is available at the MSHSL WEBSITE. Please submit the finalized form to Michelle Hilborn in the Activities Office by December 22nd.
