C-Ball Precheck: If you want to avoid the line at the door you can do a pre-check on Friday Dec. 15, 2023 at the High School. Here is how it works:

• For all Brainerd student attendees, we will verify your ticket, grade level, and lunch pin, and then put a bracelet on your wrist

  • When arriving at CBall we will check your bracelet and let you in immediately.

• We can verify your non-BHS guest at that time too. We will give you a separate bracelet for them with their name on it.

  • Your non-BHS guest must accompany you to the door

  • They will show their ID at the door of CBall which will match with their bracelet.

If you don’t want to wear a bracelet because you worry about pictures, you don’t have to do a pre-check. This is just a way to decrease the line at CBall.  On December 15, we will do the Pre-Check at J205 (Ms. Marcelo's Room) from 8:00-3:30pm. (You should do this Before School, during your Open Hour, during your Study Center, or After School, NOT during your class).

C-Ball Tickets: Tickets are now on sale for the December 16 event.  Please read through all of the information on this sheet before purchasing tickets.  Ticket sales end on December 14.

Career Fair at Essentia: Are you curious about the career opportunities within healthcare? Attend the Career Fair at Essentia on Friday, Dec. 15th from 10a to 12:30p to engage in hands-on activities within Pharmacy, Cardiology, Lab, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Nursing and more. Transportation and a pasta bar lunch will be provided. If interested, please sign up in the Student Success Center.

Holiday Grams: Interested in sending a fun message to a friend? Key Club will have a holiday gram table set up in the cafeteria open during A & B lunches from December 6-20. All proceeds go to Erika's lighthouse project.

Dress Up Days this week:

THURSDAY:  Minion Out or Yellow or Purple Day

FRIDAY:  Color Block Day - Seniors/Freshman wear RED, Juniors/Sophomores wear Green, and Staff wear Blue

Kitchen Warriors Bake Sale: Come get your holiday treats from the Kitchen Warriors during A & B lunches this week.

Careers Event:  Central Lakes College is hosting an Accounting, Business and Computer Technology Careers Event on 2/2/2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 1:00 p.m. on the CLC Brainerd Campus. Lunch will be provided. This will be a great event to expose 9-12th grade students to careers in the Business, Accounting, and Computer Technology Fields. Click on the flyer link to learn more.

Seniors: 

1. We are now accepting nominations for the prestigious Triple A Award. To be eligible for the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award a student must:

• be a high school senior at the time of nomination. Schools may nominate one senior boy and one senior girl for this award.

• have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of nomination.

• participate in at least one League-sponsored athletic program and one League-sponsored arts/activity program.

• comply with the MSHSL's Student Code of Conduct

• complete the application form and submit it to the administrative region secretary by the deadline date specified by the region committee.

Additional information about the Triple 'A' Award is available at the MSHSL WEBSITE. Please submit the finalized form to Michelle Hilborn in the Activities Office by December 22nd.

Lost and Found UPDATED: If you lose an item on campus, please check at Student Services to see if it has been turned in.  Any items left during Winter Break will be donated to local organizations before the new year.
