Parent/Guardian & Teacher Conferences: Teachers will be available from 4-7pm tonight for conferences.  Please have parents/guardians enter through the main doors, teachers will be set up through the commons area into the cafeteria.


Anime Club
: Anime club will be having our annual cosplay competition and we will be taking our yearbook group photo TODAY.  Also Anime club will end at 4pm this week due to Conferences, so please plan your rides accordingly.  

 

Multicultural Club meets every Thursday for WIN in A207. It is a place where you can learn more about your own and other cultures in a fun and welcoming environment. Help promote that BHS is A Place to Belong. All are welcome! Sign up under Ms. Ortberg or Ms. Gobler-Anderson.

 

Indigenous People's Club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays during WIN in room K105 (just inside K Building Hallway of Choir/Band). This is a space designated specifically for our Native American/ First Nation/ Alaskan Native and Indigenous Nation students only, a place for learning about culture, language and Indigenous history. Sign up with Woiteshek- Indigenous.

 

Attention College Bound Seniors: There will be a Free Financial Aid Virtual Bootcamp hosted by the US Dept of Education on October 26. Check the link for details. 

 

BHS Choir Fall Concert: Monday, October 30 at 7pm in the Gichi-ziibi Performing Arts Center

 

Cafeteria Fun on Halloween: The Cafeteria’s  Operation Game has lost its pieces!  On Tuesday, October 31 Halloween, look for an Operation Game piece and turn it in at  the snackline, you will receive free treats. Students are limited to finding and turning in 2 pieces for the day. 

 

We Scare Hunger:  In an effort to address hunger in the BLA, students are encouraged to collect food,  canned goods, and toiletries  from neighborhoods on Halloween night.  We are looking for goods  to stock the Warrior Warehouse and provide items to the Women’s Shelter.  Please drop off donated items to the Main Office at BHS after Halloween.

 

Girls Basketball: There will be an informational meeting for all girls interested in playing Girls Basketball on Tuesday 10/31 at 7:45 am in room J107. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please stop and see Coach Nelson (J107) prior to Tuesday.

 

Boys Swim/Dive: meeting at 3:20 Wednesday, November 1 in room A201.  Contact Mr. Zemke at [email protected] with any questions.

 

Girls Wrestling: To those interested in joining the Girls Wrestling Team: Season Starts Nov. 20th: Practices will be held at WESB. We will have a short meeting Nov. 2nd in the Conference room at the high school at 8:00 a.m.  If you can’t make it, email Coach Danielson with any questions:  [email protected]

Key Club Blood Drive: Donate blood at the BHS Key Club’s Fall Blood Drive! The drive takes place on Friday, November 10 at Lakewood Church from 10-4 p.m. (you will be excused from school for driving, donation, and recovery time). This is a great opportunity to save some lives! Get more information and sign up at a table set up in the cafeteria during both lunches 10/25-11/3 or by downloading the Blood Drive Donor app on your phone.
