GENERAL INFORMATION

PARENT/TEACHER/STUDENT CONFERENCES:  Thursday, October 24 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.  NC - gym, SC - cafeteria.


BHS SPANISH CLUB will be painting pumpkins this Friday, October 25th, from 3:30 - 5:00 in Ms. Qualley's room.  There is a limited amount of pumpkins! Everyone welcome!


WEEK 6 PROGRESS GRADES have been posted.  If you are failing a class and you have an Open Hour, your Open Hour will be suspended for a one week minimum and replaced with a Study Center until all course grades are improved to passing. 

Students are encouraged to contact the Warrior Tutors, a FREE program available to all BHS students in all subject areas.  Check them out at ttps://tinyurl.com/BHSTutorRequest19   


UNIVERSITY OF MN DULUTH Duluth (UMD) will be in the Student Success Center Tuesday, October 22 at 2:00. Stop by to visit and for some great admissions information. If you need a pass for the visit, see Jenny in the Student Success Center!


PICTURE RETAKES have been rescheduled to this Thursday, October 24. Same locations as usual - NC upper balcony, SC Wrestling room.


KNOWLEDGE BOWL:  The BHS Knowledge Bowl Teams will begin weekly practices this coming Wednesday, October 23rd, after school from 3:15-5:00 in Room 607 at the South Campus (Deebs' Room).  We will be forming teams soon and invite anyone who wishes to challenge themselves academically, as well as contribute their overall knowledge in order to once again dominate the other schools in our section.  We take no academic prisoners.

DRIVERS EDUCATION CLASSES will begin on Tuesday Oct. 29 at 3:30 in room 101 at the South Campus. Learn way more with our brand new driving simulator system! You can register on line or call Community Education with questions (454-6924).


YEARBOOK PRICES ARE GOING UP!  Yearbook pricing will be going from $60 to $65 on November 1st.  Order your yearbook today and save some moola!


CUSTODIAN SUB JOB OPPORTUNITY!  Would you like an opportunity to earn money and have your work hours be perfect for a high school student?  Be a substitute custodian for Brainerd Public Schools! You would be "on call" and contacted when a

school is short of a custodian for after school hours.    Here are things to keep in mind:

Must be 16 or older, pay - $11:38 Hour, Hours: - 3:00 pm. - 8:00 pm - M - F

It’s SOCKTOBER! Do you want to help our school and the community?  Our goal is to get 500 pairs of new socks donated by October 31st.  Please put them in a box around the school. All donations will go to the local women’s shelter and the school’s Warrior Warehouse to help those in our community in need.

GENERAL INFORMATION

7 HOUR DAY WEDNESDAY - Due to MEA, Wednesday will be a 7 hour day.

 

PSAT REMINDER to all Sophomores and Juniors taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 16th.  Please report to South Campus by 8:20.

Testing will be in rooms 101 to 108.

Bring 2 No. 2 pencils and a graphing calculator.

Do not bring cell phones or smart watches or backpacks.

You may bring a water bottle and a small snack.

Thinking about being in law enforcement or being a lawyer?  You get an inside view of how the courts work. Like to act? You may be a witness on the stand.  Mock Trial officially starts October 16th. See Ms Carlson in A-144..  


HAVE YOU EVER wanted to visit a college campus, but it's too far away? Check out https://www.campusreel.org. It has thousands of videos from over 300 college campuses.
