GENERAL INFORMATION

SPANISH CLUB meeting will be on Tuesday, December 3rd at 7:45 in Ms. Qualley's room.  We will discuss our December fun, cultural activity! Everyone is welcome!

 

WEDNESDAY will be a 7 period day.  No WIN sessions this week.

 

UW RIVER FALLS will be here on Tuesday, November 26 at 11:30 in the Student Success Center. Please see Jenny for a pass if you would like to meet the representative.

 

DOODLE FOR GOOGLE CONTEST-  Mr. Wagner is hosting a special WIN on Thursday, December 5th called “Doodle for Google”. This is a contest to design the Google Logo based around a specific theme.  There are many potential prizes for students and the school. This contest is open to all students. Sign up if you are interested in learning more!      

 

WEEK 12 PROGRESS GRADES will be posted the week of November 25, 2019.  If you are failing a class when grades are posted and you have an Open Hour, your Open Hour will be closed and you will be scheduled in a Study Center for one week minimum.  Students are encouraged to contact the Warrior Tutors, a FREE program available to all BHS students in all subject areas.  Check them out at ttps://tinyurl.com/BHSTutorRequest19   

 

BHS STUDENTS IN GRADES 10-12:  Tickets go on sale for Christmas Ball on Monday, Nov. 25!  CBall will be held at Cragun's Resort on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 7-11pm.  Tickets are $15 per student and sold at Shelly's window; cash or check accepted.  Parking is at the Legacy Clubhouse and you will be shuttled to Cragun's. Please ask Shelly for the guest information sheet if you wish to invite someone from another school; BHS administration must sign for your guest.  Time to get your tickets!

SENIOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS: There's still time to submit your Personal Display of Affection ad to be included in the 2020 yearbook. Please go to: https://richardjensen4.wixsite.com/brainerdyearbook/order-forms to download your PDA form today. Form and payment are due by January 15, 2020.

 

LIFETOUCH has given BHS coupons for 15 free cards. The cards will be given to English teachers to hand out on Monday, Nov. 25th. The message from Lifetouch reads: You are a valued customer and we know we have not met your expectations this Fall. ONE ACT PLAY:  Come audition for the One Act competition drama Juvie Tuesday, November 26 at 3:30 in the Little Theatre! Take an audition packet on the backstage door across from the cafeteria, or see Ms. J at South Campus in room 603.1 for an audition packet. 

 

SUPPORT ECO CLUB and Bites for Lights by bringing in your old or broken holiday lights and extension cords for recycling! Eco Club will be collecting lights and extension cords from Dec. 2nd until Jan. 18th. The funds generated will be used to feed local families in need. Collection bins will be located in the main offices at North and South Campus, and the library at North Campus. Help the Earth and our community!

 

BHS STUDENTS & STAFF:  Do you have extra eyeglasses that you don't wear anymore?  Drop off glasses in the collection box in the main office at North or South.  These donated glasses will go to the "Eyes for Mexico" program or to other mission programs around the world.  This collection is sponsored by the Brainerd Leos and BHS/Forestview Student Councils. Thank you!

FALL PLAY:  Last chance to see the fall play Almost, Maine this week! Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. All performances will be in the Little Theatre. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.

 

WARRIOR ROBOTICS will be hosting our Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser on Friday,  Nov. 22nd from 4:30 to 7 PM at the VFW in Brainerd.  Tickets will be sold at the door or from one of our Robotics Club members.  Tickets are $7.00.

We are pairing this with the Drama Club which has a performance starting at 7 pm at the little theater.  "Dinner and a Show".  Please come and support TWO of our programs at BHS.  Thanks, Mr. Bordwell
